INFORM & INVEST IN THE UNDERSTANDING OF THE POLITICAL CAREER FIELD AND JOIN A WORKSHOP!
You, Survey Taker & Workshop Attendee: Someone who identifies as a political operative, Democratic Party leader (like current and former Party staff, county and state party chairs), campaign staff, consultant, campaign manager, and anyone who's worked inside Democratic Party aligned work.
Context: This survey is to help measure what's happening inside Democratic Party infrastructure—not what the media says, but what people who've worked inside it know. And to develop program to support our staff and volunteer leaders, and raise attention and funds for organizational development support within the field.
Timeline: Please inform this work by taking the Democratic Party Current and Former Worker Survey by September 30th.
Findings: Ongoing survey findings are shared during the Political Operative Personal Strategy Workshop series — next one is September 27th. Register for the Political Operative Personal Strategy Workshop
What the survey measures:
Where are you now, and where did you come from?
Why did you move sectors, or stay in party work, or leave politics?
Why it matters: We know people leave party work for consulting, vendors, issue organizations, ballot initiatives, and outside groups. But we don't know the why, the scale, or what it costs the party. This survey hopes to understand and change that in order to support building a stronger Party.
Takes: 15 minutes
Confidential: Your responses are private. Email and name are not collected at all. So please subscribe on Substack if you want to stay abreast of the findings or future workshops. Only aggregate findings with no identifying info will be shared. Findings will be utilized to inform program creation and viability that support Party organizational infrastructure, staffing, and leadership development.
HOW THE SURVEY + WORKSHOP CONNECT
The survey measures what's happening. The Political Operative Personal Blueprint Workshop on September 27th is where it gets personal.
